Description
Hanson Aggregates – Servtex Quarry is organizing a food drive in Garden Ridge, Schertz and Selma to stock a local food pantry for the summer. The Food Drive for Randolph Area Christian Assistance Program (RACAP) takes place May 13 - 22. RACAP is a Schertz-based food pantry serving portions of Comal, Guadalupe and Bexar counties. Summer is the busiest season for RACAP, when children don’t have access to regular nutritious meals through school.
Collection sites include City Halls in Garden Ridge, Schertz and Selma. Items in high demand include peanut butter and jelly, canned pastas with meat, canned meats, 1-2 lb. bags of rice and dried beans, canned fruit and other shelf-stable items.
